Camp Beausite NW is an AWESOME inclusive place where ALL people have the opportunity to maximize their potential! A place where one can learn and grow, meet new friends, try new things, and just have FUN.

Camp Beausite, which he first attended over 10 years ago, is Daniel’s happy place. Largely nonverbal, he has not told us with his words how much he loves camp, but we can see the joy on his face when we mention camp and the eagerness with which he has been known to place items in a suitcase when he knows we are getting ready to take him to camp. We feel a great debt of gratitude to the many who make camp happen by generously giving of their resources and time, some behind the scenes and some in very hands-on kinds of ways. Time at camp not only provides campers with a wonderful, memorable experience, it also gives parents and caregivers worry-free respite time.

Camp Programs – REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

CBNW is overjoyed at the 2023 camp calendar. After an incredibly successful 2022, it feels like our future is full of possibilities! It doesn’t seem that COVID is going to be going away anytime soon, so we continue to work on normalizing our new world. Making camp available to as many as we can and creating more opportunities than ever before – sounds like a good way to celebrate 2023. Registration will open on December 16th for the following programs:

SUMMER CAMPS:  Ages 7–99+, all care ratios (limited spaces for wheel chairs and 1:1), Monday–Saturday, respite eligible, $1,300

WEEKEND CAMPS:  Ages 9–99+, 1:3 care ratios (call for 1:1/2 availability), Friday–Sunday, respite eligible, $600

ONE-TO-FUN CAMP:  Ages 7–99+, 1:1 or 1:2 care ratios.  July 31–August 4, 2023, Monday–Friday, respite eligible, $1,800

WOMEN’S RETREAT:  Ages 21+, a relaxing and refreshing retreat for the ladies – moms, caregivers, friends, sisters, nurses – everyone, $350

CBNW continues to work with the American Camp Association, CDC, and local and state health departments to make decisions about how we safely offer programs. While it may not look like what we have done in the past – we are committed to making sure there are plenty of camp and respite opportunities. 80% of all staff and volunteers are mandated by the state to be vaccinated. Also, 80% of campers attending camp must be vaccinated, those who cannot be vaccinated must take a rapid antigen test 24 hours prior to the arrival to camp, and must quarantine during that time.

Summer Camps

C
amp Beausite Northwest believes that everyone should be able to have the Camp Experience and we can’t wait to share that with you! We provide fun-filled, week-long summer camp sessions.

We do everything in our power to create a camp experience for anyone who wants it. We bring in counselors from around the country, as well as internationally, to give our campers the 1:1 support that they need and deserve. Every session has room for 4 campers who utilize wheelchairs as their predominant mode of transportation. We do our best to accommodate your first choice request for your schedule – but do please be aware that we need to place our campers in our sessions based on a great many things and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility. Registration confirmation may take up to 15 days from your registration submission.

CBNW is excited to announce that we are extending our camp program schedule. Summer camp programs will begin with check-in on Monday at 2pm and will conclude on Saturday with check-out at 10:30am. We are over the moon to provide an additional day for our campers and their families – we heard you! CBNW will provide round-the-clock care and supervision, nursing care, delicious meals, awesome field trips, tons of activities, and the best programming around! There is so much to do at camp and we hope you will check out the Camp Activities page to familiarize yourself with all of the different things that go on at camp, as well as the camp schedule!

Our week-long summer camp programs are designed for campers 7–99+. Our summer camp programs are open to all levels of care needs for our campers. We highly encourage families and guardians to register as early as possible for campers that need true 1:1 care or who are in a wheelchair, as each week has limited spaces for accommodations. Summer camp programs are $1,300 and are eligible for respite funding.

Weekly Themes – Every camp program will have a different, fun, and exciting theme. We will dress up in costumes for every dinner and many of our camp activities will have extra flare and fun wrapped around our camp theme for the week. Please do not feel the need to go out and buy items for the themes.

Weekend Camps

C
amp Beausite Northwest believes that everyone should be able to have the Camp Experience and we can’t wait to share that with you! We provide super fun weekend camp programs throughout the spring and the fall.

Our weekend programs are the perfect getaway for our campers. A great opportunity to try out a camp program or return to your friends during the fall or spring. CBNW holds eight weekend camp programs each year. Four in the spring and four in the fall. Weekend programs are staffed by local staff from around our area who are dedicated to the mission of Camp Beausite Northwest in providing excellent care and support for our campers while simultaneously providing respite for our families.

Weekend programs are currently geared towards campers who need 1:3 camper-to-staff care ratios and are mostly independent with their ADL’s. There are options for our campers needing more support, 1:2 or possibly 1:1 support for our weekend camps, however that is all based on staffing availability. Due to the fact that CBNW is only able to offer eight weekend camps a year, that means that our staff are part-time and seasonal, many hold other full-time positions and go out of their way to support our weekend programs. Please know that we do everything we can to accommodate all of our campers whenever possible, and as we grow, those opportunities will grow as well. If you have a camper with 1:1 or 1:2 care needs, please contact the camp office at (360) 732-7222 to inquire about possible availability.

We support camper ages from 9–99+ for our weekend camps and love having all ages at camp. We do everything in our power to create a camp experience for anyone who wants it. Registration confirmation may take up to 30 days from your registration submission as we are always working hard to ensure proper staffing and the right fit for our cabin bunking for all of our campers.

Weekend programs will begin with check-in on Friday at 6pm and will conclude on Sunday with check-out at 3pm.

We highly encourage families and guardians to register as early as possible as each weekend camp program fills up quickly. Weekend camp programs are $600 and are eligible for respite funding.

Weekend 1:  Wacky Backwards Camp
Weekend 2:  Spring Camp
Weekend 3:  Jurassic Camp
Weekend 4:  Crafty Camp
Weekend 5:  Nature Camp
Weekend 6:  Halloween Camp
Weekend 7:  Giving Thanks Camp
Weekend 8:  Chrismahanakwanzika Camp
